KFD Interiors is a full-service interior design studio based in Auckland, working on residential and boutique commercial projects
throughout New Zealand.
Founded by Kirsten Ford in 2016, KFD has built a reputation for interiors with a distinct sense of style and edge. Every project starts with the people who'll live or work in the space, balancing visual impact with comfort, practicality and how the property needs to function day to day.
The studio specialises in new builds, full renovations and complete interior schemes. Working closely with clients, architects, builders and trusted trades, KFD manages the whole journey — from first ideas through to the finished space. Kirsten is the creative force behind KFD Interiors, driven by a genuine passion for infusing everyday life with style and edge.
Time spent living and working in Europe and building two family homes of her own sparked a lifelong obsession with design and led her to launch the studio in 2016. She quickly earned a reputation for bespoke, modern interiors, with a signature style that's both contemporary and classic, always detail-driven and beautifully executed.
A 15-year career in corporate marketing gave Kirsten a sharp eye for design, meticulous attention to detail and the project management skills that shape the clear, considered process she brings to every project. She completed her Diploma of Interior Design at the New Zealand Interior Design Institute in 2015, and her work has been recognised both locally and internationally, including selection to attend the
Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. Her projects and commentary have featured in NZ House & Garden, Home, M2 Woman,
NZ Kitchens & Bathrooms, Stuff and more.

Helen plays a pivotal role at KFD Interiors, making it happen. She’s the essential link between us and our network of suppliers and manages all the details of procurement, ultimately ensuring the delivery of our projects on time and on budget. She has a wealth of experience across various creative and customer focused industries. Helen’s strong attention to detail and unruffled approach to every challenge combined with her fun, friendly manner make her shine in her role.
