KFD Interiors is a full-service interior design studio based in Auckland, working on residential and boutique commercial projects throughout New Zealand.
Founded by Kirsten Ford in 2016, the studio is known for creating luxurious, timeless interiors with a distinct sense of style and edge. Each project is designed around the people who will live or work in the space, balancing visual impact with comfort, practicality and the way the property needs to function every day.
Kirsten brings together formal training from the New Zealand Interior Design Institute, 15 years of corporate marketing experience and the creative influence of time spent living and working in Europe. This mix of design knowledge, commercial experience and international perspective shapes the way KFD Interiors approaches every project.
The studio specialises in new builds, full renovations and complete interior schemes. Working closely with clients, architects, builders and trusted trades, KFD Interiors can manage the design process from the first ideas through to the finished space.

Kirsten is passionate about infusing everyday life with style and edge.
Time spent living and working in Europe and subsequently building two family homes inspired her to pursue a lifelong obsession with design, launching her own interiors business in 2016 and quickly establishing a reputation for creating bespoke, modern interiors. Her signature style is both contemporary and classic, always detail driven and executed to perfection.
A 15 year career in corporate marketing saw Kirsten develop a critical eye for design, attention to detail and thorough project management skills, which has transposed to a clear, concise design process for all her projects. She completed a diploma of Interior Design from New Zealand’s Interior Design Institute in 2015 and her work has been awarded both locally and internationally, including selection to travel to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. Her projects and commentary have been published in NZ House & Garden, Home, M2 Woman, NZ Kitchens & Bathrooms, Stuff and more.

Helen plays a pivotal role at KFD Interiors, making it happen. She’s the essential link between us and our network of suppliers and manages all the details of procurement, ultimately ensuring the delivery of our projects on time and on budget. She has a wealth of experience across various creative and customer focused industries. Helen’s strong attention to detail and unruffled approach to every challenge combined with her fun, friendly manner make her shine in her role.
