KFD Interiors is an interior design service based on Auckland's North Shore, run by Kirsten Ford, working on new builds, renovations and furniture curation across Auckland and New Zealand. No two briefs look the same, and neither do the finished homes.

A Full Design Service

Interior design in Auckland through KFD is a structured process, not a mood board handed over and hoped for. It runs through four stages: design consultation, style concept, selections and procurement, then full documentation so builders and trades execute the vision correctly the first time. That last step matters more than people expect. Miscommunication between designer and builder is where budgets blow out, so we put it in writing before a single tile is ordered. Recognised & Published

Kirsten Ford founded KFD Interiors in 2016, and the work has been recognised well beyond Auckland since: selection to attend the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, and features in NZ House & Garden, HOME Magazine, Stuff, and on TVNZ's NZ's Best Homes with Phil Spencer. New Builds, Renovations & Furnishings

Still finalising plans with an architect? Start with a new build design. Reworking an existing layout is a renovation project, and if the bones of the room are already right but it just doesn't feel finished, that's what the furniture and furnishings service is for. Most of our in-person work happens around the North Shore and central Auckland, and we also work with clients in Queenstown & Wanaka. The initial design consultation can be done virtually if you're outside these areas.
