I will be winging my way to Milan to attend the prestigious Salone Internazionale del Mobile design show at the beginning of April.
Known as the “Oscars of Design”, the 58th annual Milan furniture fair is one of the biggest in the global design calendar and where the biggest international designers reveal what they’ll be launching in 2019/2020.
One of my suppliers, Schneider Electric, ran a competition for architects and designers who had recently completed a project using their product. With one winner from each of seven countries, I'm absolutely thrilled to have been selected by the international judging panel.
Our winning submission is a recent high-end interior design project that we’re extremely proud of. The cliff-top new build, designed by architects Studio John Irving, is a bold architectural statement with the interior design complementing the masculine concrete, steel and glass design.
Attending the Salone is a dream for any interior designer, so I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to explore the exhibits, see firsthand what is trending and discover new products and designers.
And I really look forward to sharing the journey with you!
